ANM

ANM full form is Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery. ANM Nursing is a 2 year diploma course. It primarily deals with the health care sector. The course provides knowledge about setting up operation theatre, taking care of various equipment, maintaining records, and also administering timely medication to patients. There are a total of 1936 colleges for these courses, out of which 1615 are private, and 275 are governmental institutions. The total number of seats for this course in India is 1,00,930.

GNM

GNM stands for General Nursing and Midwifery. GNM is a paramedical diploma course with a span of three and a half years. GNM emphasizes teaching Nursing students the importance of the community, community health care, and Midwifery. GNM course can be pursued after the completion of the 10th board followed by a pre-university of two years in the science stream.   • The minimum age limit for applying for this course is 17 years, and is restricted to 35 years.They must also have obtained the minimum number of marks required in their GNM Nursing Entrance Exam Result.

BSc Nursing

BSc Nursing is a 4-year undergraduate course with a focus on training and skill development as mentioned in National Health Policy 2002. Students after BSc Nursing will become professional nurses capable of taking primary, secondary and tertiary care of people. There are 1,00,930 BSc Nursing course seats in 1936 nursing colleges in India. Students with science in class 12 are eligible for BSc Nursing. There are 571 BSc Nursing seats in AIIMS.

BSc Nursing Eligibility

  • BSc Nursing course is catered in two segments, which are BSc Basic and BSc Post Basic. The eligibility criteria for the BSc Nursing course is a 10+2 or equivalent examination completion certificate from the Science stream with PCB and English as compulsory subjects.
  • Candidates must have passed class 12 with a minimum of 50 per cent in Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
  • English is also a mandatory subject in class 12.
  • Person should be medically fit.
  • They have to get a certificate in GNM (General Nursing Midwifery) and register him/herself as RNRM (Registered Nurse Registered Midwife) from the State Nurses Registration Council.

B.Pharma

D.Pharma

BHMS full form is Bachelor in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery.
